The antibacterial activities of magnesium oxide nanoparticles (MgO NP) alone or in combinationwith other antimicrobials (nisin and heat) against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus were investigated. The results show that MgO NP have strong bactericidal activity against the pathogens. Asynergistic effect of MgO in combination with nisin and heat was observed as well. Scanning electron microscopy was used to characterize the morphological changes of S. aureus before and after ...
Extinction coefficients of gold nanoparticles with different sizes were determined by Zetasizer particle analyser and UV ndash;vis absorption spectroscopic measurement. Four different types of gold nanoparticles were prepared and studied: citrate-stabilized nanoparticles in two different sizes; ionic liquid-protected gold nanoparticles and CTAB-protected gold nanoparticles. A linear relationship between the logarithms of extinction coefficients and core diameters of gold particles was found ...
The current research work deals with investigation of the polyaniline nanoparticles as thesubstrate of the molecular imprinted polymer. Molecular imprinting is an interesting way toemulate the natural molecular identification that will be realized by preparing artificialidentification sites with preset election for different target analytes. In this method, the targetanalyte acts as a template and will be connected to functional monomers through covalent ornon-covalent bonding during the ...
