The antibacterial activities of magnesium oxide nanoparticles in combination with nisin and heat in milk

The antibacterial activities of magnesium oxide nanoparticles (MgO NP) alone or in combinationwith other antimicrobials (nisin and heat) against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus were investigated. The results show that MgO NP have strong bactericidal activity against the pathogens. Asynergistic effect of MgO in combination with nisin and heat was observed as well. In the present work, highly efficient epoxidation of alkenes with H2O2 catalyzed by tungsten hexacarbonyl supported on multi-wall carbon nanotubes modified with 1,2-diaminobenzene is reported.
